‘Mimangs-si-Sjabstogs’ Outreach Camp Organized at Skara Village

Leh, November 13 (Scoop News)-In continuation of the ongoing ‘Mimangs-si-Sjabstogs’ (Administration at Your Doorstep) initiative, the District Panchayat Officer (DPO) Leh, Akeel Sajjad, organized a public outreach camp at Skara village. The event aimed to strengthen public engagement, spread awareness about various government schemes, and address local grievances on the spot.

District Panchayat Officer (DPO) Leh, Akeel Sajjad, welcomed and expressed gratitude to all participating departments, the Nambardar of Skara, and the villagers for their active participation.

Representatives from multiple departments—including Agriculture, Horticulture, Education, Animal Husbandry, PDD, Social Welfare, and J&K Bank (Skalzangling Branch)—attended the camp and briefed the villagers about the welfare schemes, subsidies, and facilities available through their respective departments.

The Agriculture Department highlighted schemes and subsidies related to greenhouse construction, drip irrigation, sprinklers, vermicomposting, OSCP – Revival of Rantaks, and various modern farming machineries.

The Education Department elaborated on initiatives under the Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS), such as the PM Poshan (Mid-Day Meal) and Samagra Shiksha, focusing on the development of schools. The officer also shared success stories of model schools in Saboo Iyu, Gompa, Spituk Dumra, and Skara Yokma.

The Animal Husbandry Department informed participants about schemes for cattle stock enhancement, subsidies on cattle feed including green fodder and silage, and support for dairy farming. They also raised awareness about livestock diseases such as brucellosis and discussed genetic upgradation for progressive farmers through scientific methods.

Officials from J&K Bank, Skalzangling Branch, briefed the public about financial inclusion and social security schemes like PMJJY and PMJJBY, life insurance benefits, and Kisan Credit Card (KCC) facilities. They also advised villagers to stay vigilant against online frauds involving OTPs, ATMs, and UPI transactions.

The Horticulture Department informed about subsidies for apricot and apple orchards, low-cost onion and garlic storage structures, solar crop dryers, water lifting pumps, and agricultural machinery. They announced that the listing of beneficiaries for these subsidies would be carried out in March and April.

The Power Development Department (PDD) explained the benefits of the Rooftop Solar Scheme under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, along with available subsidies. A vendor also demonstrated the cost and advantages of solar installations.

The Social Welfare Department shared details on welfare schemes for senior citizens, students, women, and persons with disabilities through UDID cards, National Family Benefit Schemes, and Senior Citizenship Cards.

During the interactive session, villagers actively engaged with departmental representatives, raising concerns and queries primarily related to school facilities, road connectivity, river channel maintenance, and insurance scheme clarifications.

The outreach camp concluded with a vote of thanks by District Panchayat Officer (DPO) Leh, Akeel Sajjad, to all departments and participants for their collective efforts in bringing administration closer to the people.
