| CEC Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon Inaugurates MK Studio in Kargil | |
Kargil, November 09 (Scoop News)-The Hon’ble Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohammad Jaffer Akhoon, today inaugurated MK Studio, a new multimedia venture established by young entrepreneur Zulfikar Ali, marking a significant step towards promoting creativity, local culture, and youth entrepreneurship in Kargil.
The event was graced by Hon’ble Member of Parliament (MP) Ladakh, Haji Mohammad Hanifa Jan, as the Guest of Honour, and Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Imteeaz Kacho, as the Special Guest. Former Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Aga Syed Abass, also attended the event. The dignitaries were warmly welcomed with traditional Khataks.
Addressing the gathering, CEC Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, the Chief Guest of the event, extended heartfelt congratulations to Zulfikar Ali and his family for launching MK Studio – Multi Venture. He said it is a proud moment to witness a young, energetic, and educated individual from Kargil start a professional venture aligned with his expertise. The CEC expressed hope that Zulfikar Ali would work with dedication to achieve great heights and serve as an inspiration for the youth of Kargil.
Dr. Akhoon also announced a personal contribution of ₹20,000 as a token of encouragement and assured possible assistance for any machinery or equipment required for the studio. He requested Additional Deputy Commissioner and Joint Director Information, Imteeaz Kacho, to extend full support for impenealment of MK Studio venture.
Highlighting the importance of media, the CEC described it as the fourth pillar of democracy, emphasizing that it has become an essential part of governance, communication, and public awareness.
Hon’ble Member of Parliament Ladakh, Haji Mohammad Hanifa Jan, in his address, extended heartfelt congratulations to Zulfikar Ali and described the inauguration of MK Studio as the beginning of a promising journey.
He expressed hope that the venture would help explore and present Ladakh’s culture, history, and language to the wider world through creative media. The MP assured full support for the growth of such youth-led initiatives and said that this startup will inspire many young people across Ladakh.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Imteeaz Kacho, congratulated Zulfikar Ali and lauded his courage in establishing a multi-venture enterprise.
He said that in today’s world, presentation and media outreach are vital tools for cultural and social representation. He expressed hope that MK Studio would play a key role in showcasing Kargil’s cultural and geographical identity globally.
The ADC also remarked that while providing government employment remains a challenge, such initiatives inspire youth and contribute to employment generation in the private sector.
Speaking on the occasion, Zulfikar Ali, Director of MK Studio, shared his vision and objectives for the venture, expressing his commitment to promote Kargil’s culture, traditions, and geography through modern multimedia platforms. He also shared his professional experiences and thanked all dignitaries for their encouragement and support.
The event was attended by Joint Director Planning and Chief Planning Officer Kargil, Abdul Hadi, Accounts Officer Shamim Hussain, Accounts Officer Sajjad Hussain, CDPO Parveen Akhtar, and other officials and dignitaries.
