| DC Rajouri reviews functioning of Revenue Department | | Rajouri, November 09 (Scoop News)- Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri Abhishek Sharma today chaired a meeting of the Revenue Department at the DC Office Complex Rajouri to assess the progress of key initiatives and streamline revenue-related service delivery across the district.
The meeting discussed in detail the status of digitization of the Jamabandis and geo-referencing of cadastral maps, which are crucial components of modernizing land records and ensuring transparency in the revenue administration.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the implementation of service delivery under the Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA) and emphasized timely disposal of applications by Tehsildars through the JK Revenue Portal and Service Plus Portal. He directed officers to ensure that all services are delivered strictly within the prescribed timelines to enhance public satisfaction and accountability.
While reviewing the updation of revenue records and completion of revenue buildings, the DC instructed ADCs, SDMs and the ACR to ensure timely completion of these works with close supervision at all stages.
To improve administrative monitoring, the DC directed officers to conduct regular inspections of records and submit weekly progress reports. He also called for expeditious redressal of public grievances received on the JK SAMADHAN and asked officers to encourage public registration on the platform for effective grievance management.
The Deputy Commissioner reiterated that the Revenue Department plays a vital role in public service delivery and must function with transparency, efficiency and accountability to uphold public trust.
The meeting was attended by ADC Kalakote, Tanvir Ahmed, ADC Kotranka, Dilmir Chowdhary, ADC Rajouri, Chander Prakash, ADC Nowshera, Pritam Lal Thapa, ADC Sunderbani, Ramkesh Sharma, ACR, Mohd Jahangir Khan, SDM Thanamandi, Abid Hussain, besides Tehsildars and other sectoral officers.
