| Executive Councillor, Er. Punchok Tashi Chairs Review Meeting on RDD Works | | Kargil, November 04 (Scoop News)-The Hon’ble Executive Councillor, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, LAHDC Kargil, Er. Punchok Tashi chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of ongoing works and its expenditure under the Rural Development Department (RDD).
The meeting focused on works being executed under various schemes, including the District Capex, State Sector, Special Development Package (SDP), Samagra, and Grant-in-Aid (GIA), with special emphasis on the CCDA works 2025. The review covered the tendering process, execution, completion, and payment status of all ongoing projects. Detailed discussions were also held on the physical and financial achievements of each scheme to ensure timely implementation and transparency as well as to achieve the set on target of expenditure under District Capex.
The meeting was attended by Councillor Silmo, Feroz Ahmad Khan; Councilor Yurbaltak, Manzoor Hussain and Councilor Baroo Minji, Khadim Hussain, Exen REW Ms. Fiza Bano, Assistant Executive Engineer (RDD) Mr. Sajjad, Representative of ACD Kargil, BDO Kargil, and Junior Engineers of the RDD.
The Hon’ble Executive Councillor Punchuk Tashi emphasized the need for close coordination between the executing agencies and Councillors as well as field functionaries to properly frame DPR and expedite execution of on going works. He has directed officials to ensure quality execution, timely completion, and strict adherence to financial and administrative norms.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the Council’s commitment to strengthening grassroots development and ensuring that all RDD schemes effectively benefit rural communities across Kargil district.
The Executive Councilor has directed to submit list of all the completed project for formal handing over to the community or department and also desired to have the saving amount of the CCDA within a week so as to communicate respective Councillors for new works identification. ... |
