Dr. Renzushah shed light on his two recent literary works, Cashmere, Bear's Throne and Sultana Kota Rani Reshi Queen of kashmir. He masterfully explored the complex characters within these narratives, weaving a tapestry of memory, mythology, power, and renaissance.
He said "Bear's Throne" serves as more than a literary metaphor, represents the axis of power and fear, embodying a long history of oppression faced by Kashmir’s marginalized populace. Dr. Renzushah referred to these "bears"—tyrants and their gangs—as symbols of enduring despotism, drawing parallels to historical invaders and ideological oppressors described in his historical narrative, Sultana Kota Rani Reshi Queen of Kashmir.
Dr. Renzushah identified notorious figures throughout history, including Padsha, Qayed, and Parraihy, who remain oblivious as "history burns around them." He articulated that Kashmir’s plight transcends individual political events, portraying it as a continuum of cycles where cruelty assumes new forms through the ages. His prose, rich with poetic imagery and layered allegory, collapses time, merging the realms of myth and fact.
He pointed out that historical beasts including Genghis Khan and Adolf Hitler are found when you unveil these bears. He said that as finction writter he interweaved seamlessly fictional characters like Azeem and Mumma Jawan existing all around un organised societies .
Dr. Renzushah painted vivid scenes of despair and resilience, illustrating rivers "turning black and red with ink of books and blood of humans," as well as haunting imagery of vultures circling over scattered bones—themes that transcend the physical and the symbolic.
He also referred Central to his narratives the chracters of striking female such as Tarana, Zooni, and the legendary Sultana Kota Rani.
He said Sultana Kota Rani and Padmasambhava Sultan Sader ud Deen Renchanshah who still are remembered as two icons who saved kashmir from Dalcha's terror are recited in each sufi shrine as Sultan mara khuram munand,Begum mara Khuram Kunand. Begum Sultana Kota Rani is revered as the Reshi Queen of Kashmir. Their stories stand against a backdrop of kashmir who stood like rock against Dalcha Zulqader khan of Sawat's terror & tyranny.
Dalcha's tyranny and brutality, reflecting the resilience and strength of both sultana and Begum under blessing of Bulbulshah,Mahadeva and Buddhist mountains & Astaan marag of Harwan that emerges amidst darkness to bless the victory to kashmir when 70 k terror cavellory of Dalcha was wiped out by engineering the blasting of glaciers in to Avalanches.
Dr. Renzushah's intention to present these characters as living metaphors—cristal clear with & deeply nuanced—offers poignant commentary on the human spirit’s enduring fight against oppression. The Kashmir Literary Festival 2025 stands as a testament to the power of literature to illuminate the past, provoke thought, and inspire a brighter future.
