| Police seizes 06 Tractors involved in illegal transportation of minerals in Awantipora | |
Srinagar, October 11 (Scoop News)-In continuation of its ongoing drive against illegal mining, Police in Awantipora have intensified efforts to combat illegal mining activities in the Police district Awantipora and seized 06 tractors involved in illegal transportation of minerals.
A Police party led by SHO Police Station Tral under the supervision of SDPO Tral Shri Rajesh Kumar seized six tractors from Nowdal area of Police Station Tral, involved in illegal transportation of minerals.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR NO. 125/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Tral and further investigation has been initiated.
Community members are earnestly appealed to extend their cooperation by sharing any information regarding such unlawful activities in their areas. J&K Police assures complete confidentiality of the informants and reiterates its resolve to take strict legal action against those indulging in illegal mining.
