| SPPND GDC Samba devised QR Code Scanning Initiative to promote digital voter awareness | |
Jammu, October 10 (Scoop News)- The Pravad Electoral Literacy Club (ELC) of SPPND Govt. Degree College, Samba organized a QR Code Scanning Initiative on 10th October 2025 to boost student engagement with CEO J&k's Social Media Platforms.
The event was held in the presence of the worthy Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol, who lauded the efforts of the ELC team for adopting innovative digital methods to strengthen electoral literacy and civic engagement among students. The activity aimed at increasing the followership of college students on the official social media handles — Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube — of the Chief Electoral Officer, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
This activity was coordinated by Asst. Prof. Ritika, Asst. Prof. Surbhi Malhotra, Lecturer Mohika Bavoria, and Lecturer Rahul Verma. Students actively participated by scanning QR codes that provided direct access to the CEO J&K’s social media pages, thereby pledging to stay connected and informed about electoral activities and updates.
