IUST Mechanical Engineering Students Visit JSW Pulwama | IUST Hosts Free Dental Checkup Camp Promoting Oral and Overall Health | Awantipora, October 10 (Scoop News)- The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST), under their industry connect program, organized an industrial visit to JSW Pulwama for students of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics & Automation. The visit aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial practice by providing students first-hand exposure to modern manufacturing processes and plant operations.
Besides gaining firsthand exposure to modern manufacturing processes and understanding industrial operations, it was an inspiration for the students to meet IUST alumni at the JSW plant, who are leading key operations.
IUST Mechanical Engineering Students Visit JSW Pulwama
Awantipora,The Centre for Vocational Studies, Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), in collaboration with the Government Dental College (GDC), Srinagar, organized a Free Dental Check-up Camp on the theme “Oral Health – The Gateway to Overall Healthcare” at the IUST campus.
The camp emphasized the vital link between oral hygiene and overall health. A team of around 20 dental professionals provided consultations, on-site tooth fillings, scaling, and free medicines to students and staff. More than 200 students, faculty, and employees benefited from the initiative.
The program inaugurated by Prof. A.H. Moon, Dean Academic Affairs was coordinated by Dr. Shahid Mudasir Baba, Coordinator, Centre for Vocational Studies, and Dr. Aasim Farooq Shah, Head, Department of Public Health Dentistry, GDC Srinagar. Prof. Moon felicitated the dental team while exploring avenues for future academic collaborations and community health partnerships between the two institutions. ... |
