| Police intensifies inspection of SIM vendors in Baramulla | | Srinagar, October 10 (Scoop News)-As part of its ongoing efforts to curb the misuse of SIM cards and to ensure strict compliance with telecom verification norms, Police in Baramulla carried out a thorough inspection of SIM vendor outlets falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Pattan and Police Posts Kongamdara, Mirgund and Wussan.
During the inspection, the teams checked the verification process being followed by the vendors, including maintenance of customer records and adherence to biometric authentication procedures. Vendors were sensitized about the importance of strict observance of KYC guidelines and were advised to remove any deficiencies on priority.
They were also cautioned that any violation of norms or negligence in record maintenance will invite strict legal action.
