Jammu, October 03 (Scoop News)-Congress has sought immediate arrest of former BJP Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta & other accused in the henious crime of cow smuggling hurting the religious sentiments of people and a high level investigation by a special investigation team ( SIT) headed by a senior officer of integrity .
Questioning BJP & hindu organizations for itheir silence over the most shameful act ,the party has said that the religious sentiments of people are deeply hurt by the sensational allegations.A high level probe by a SIT headed by senior officer of integrity should be held.
The party questioned the silence of BJP over the sensitive issue involving party's former Mayor , which exposes the double standards of BJP over such a serious issue, as it has not taken any action against its senior leader so far.
The insensitive approach of BJP' to such a religious sensitive issue despite court intervention ,after prima facie satisfaction for the registration of FIR ,speaks volumes of the BJP's duplicity.
The silence of all hindu organizations over the sensitive issue is also questionable and unfortunate, the party said.
