Police Organises Awareness Programme on New Criminal Laws In Awantipora Budgam

Srinagar, September 30 (Scoop News)-As part of an ongoing initiative to enhance public understanding of the recently enacted criminal laws, police conducted awareness programmes on New Criminal Laws in Awantipora and Budgam.

In Awantipora, police organised awareness programme on three new criminal laws at Govt. Higher-Secondary School Khrew under the ongoing ‘Sewa Parv’ celebration. The event was chaired by SDPO Pampore Shri RP Singh along with SHO PS Khrew Inspector Naieem Rashid.

In Budgam, programme was conducted at DPL Budgam, featuring an essay competition and quiz session to familiarize students with recent legal reforms. Around 35 students and faculty members of Oxford School of Education Budgam participated, alongside police personnel.

Participants were briefed about the new three criminal laws, with emphasis on major changes, citizen-friendly provisions, and their role in ensuring speedy justice.

On the occasion, officers urged the public to stay informed and extend cooperation with Police in effective implementation of these laws for a safer and law-abiding society.
