JKAP 5th Battalion Organises Special Outreach Programme for Underprivileged and Differently-Abled Students | | Srinagar, September 29 (Scoop News)-The Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police (JKAP) 5th Battalion, under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) of J&K Police, organised a special outreach programme at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Batamaloo, and Abhinandan Home, Solina.
The programme was conducted under the leadership of Sh. Shabir Nawab, SSP, Commandant JKAP 5th Battalion, accompanied by other officers and personnel of the unit. 2. The initiative was aimed at extending support and encouragement to underprivileged students while also reaching out to differently-abled children. A major highlight of the event was the interaction with students at Abhinandan Home, an institution dedicated to the education and welfare of differently-abled (deaf and mute) children, and the only such school in Jammu & Kashmir. 3. As part of the programme, educational kits, stationery items, and other essential supplies were distributed among the students to assist them in their academic journey and daily learning needs. The gesture was warmly received and added to the spirit of care and inclusiveness that defined the event. 4. During the interaction, students conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to JKAP 5th Battalion for this thoughtful initiative, which not only provided material assistance but also greatly enhanced their morale and sense of inclusion. 5. Teachers,staff and caretakers at both institutions lauded the efforts of the Battalion, terming the programme a significant step towards bridging social gaps and further strengthening the bond between the police and the community.
