| Headquarters IRP-7th Bn. conducted plantation drive was at Seri, Jammu | |
Jammu, September 29 (Scoop News)-A Plantation Drive was conducted at Battalion Headquarters IRP-7th Bn., Seri, Jammu under the supervision of Sh. Pawan Parihar-JKPS (SSP) Commandant IRP-7th Battalion with an aim of contributing to the Green Drive of our country, fighting against global warming and contributes towards accomplishing Sustainable Development Goals.
Sh. Pawan Parihar-JKPS (SSP) enunciated the importance of tree plantation for the community and that this initiative will go a long way in inculcating awareness among the public about environment conservation. He said that these trees are an invaluable investment for the future generations that shall provide natural shade in open spaces along with fruits and products of medicinal importance. They shall also provide cleaner air to breathe by enhancing green cover and highlighted that the health of environment is as important as the health of an individual.
Later, he thanked Sh. Ramnish Kumar-SP (Dy. CO IRP-7th Bn.), Sh. Vinod Kumar-DYSP (QM IRP-7th Bn.) and other officers/officials of the unit for their gracious presence and informed that IRP-7th Battalion will continue to organize such activities in future as a part of their commitment towards maintaining ecological balance and conserving the environment. In his concluding remarks he said, "I am happy to see the high enthusiasm exhibited by the Police Personnel of this unit who have come forth for the drive and made it a huge success. Let us pledge not only to plant trees but also nurture them."
