| DC Kargil Visits Bal Ashram Baroo, High School and Boys Higher Secondary School Baroo | |
Kargil,September 27 (Scoop News)- Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC Kargil, Rakesh Kumar (IAS) today visited Bala Ashram, Baroo to review the facilities and infrastructure.
During the visit, the DC inspected various sections including the rooms, kitchen, smart room and other facilities at the Ashram.
He was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Imteeaz Kacho, District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) Kargil, Sameena Khatoon, Superintendent Bal Ashram, AEE R&B besides other officials.
On the occasion, the DSWO apprised the DC about the requirement of funds for repair and maintenance of electric wiring and other works. She also informed that presently 19 students are enrolled in the Bal Ashram hostel.
The DC directed for dismantling of the existing old building at the earliest and auctioning of the materials. He also instructed the ADC to direct KREDA to repair all solar panels and to share reports of solar plants provided to government departments.
He further asked the DSWO to submit a complete inventory of the Ladies Training Center and instructed to utilize the available space for indoor games for students and as multi purpose hall. The DC assured to provide indoor games equipment through Youth Services and Sports. He also directed the AEE R&B to conduct assessment and landscaping of the DSWO office area along with fencing for the hostel and instructed to handover of all completed school buildings.
Later, the DC visited High School Baroo and Boys Higher Secondary School Baroo where he inspected day to day activities and overall functioning of the schools.
