Sham Lal Sharma holds public grievances camp at BJP headquarters
calls to expedite restoration of flood-hit infrastructure

Jammu, September 26 (Scoop News)-Senior BJP leader and MLA, Sham Lal Sharma, has underlined the urgent need for complete restoration and repair of public infrastructure in the flood-affected areas of Jammu and adjoining regions that were hit by incessant rains and cloudbursts. He asked the NC government and concerned departments to act without delay in repairing roads, resuming normal water and power supply, and reviving all other affected essential services.

Sharma was interacting with various public delegations during a Public Grievances Camp held at the BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

Deputations from Pandorian Mishriwala, Raipur Lower, Dansal, Akhnoor, Reasi, Hiranagar, Utterbehni (Samba), Greater Kailash, Jallo Chack, Bhalwal, Rajouri, Chinore Bantalab, Nagrota Jagti, Jopurian, Talab Tillo, Roop Nagar Lower, Ragoora Upper, Ranjan (Bhalwal), Doomi Malpur, and other areas visited BJP headquarters to share their issues.

Pointing towards the breakdown of basic amenities, he said that the collapse and non-functional water and electricity systems even after this much time clearly showed the administration’s inefficiency. The government failed to devise any effective emergency plan, compelling lakhs of Jammu residents to suffer without even the minimum required facilities, he observed.

A significant number of deputations participated in the camp and shared their grievances with the MLA.

Sharma assured the public that BJP leaders and workers have been consistently present on the ground to provide every possible support to the affected families. At the same time, he lambasted the NC government for its indifferent approach and criticized the concerned departments for their half-hearted efforts. He maintained that such a negligent attitude has only worsened the plight of the flood-hit population, demanding accountability and urgent corrective measures.

The camp was coordinated by Er. Dil Bahadur Jamwal, Party Incharge for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, who underlined the need to immediately address the water scarcity issue, by taking the pro-active measures on priority.
