| ADDC Chairs Review Meeting for Climate Cup 2025 | |
Leh, August 29 (Scoop News)-Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Leh, Sonam Nurboo, chaired a review meeting on 29th August, 2025 at the Conference Hall, DC Office, to discuss preparations for the upcoming Climate Cup 2025, scheduled to be held from 1st to 7th September at the Kushok Bakula Rinpoche Astro Turf Stadium, Spituk.
During the meeting, the ADDC emphasized the importance of ensuring a smooth and well-organized week long event. He directed District youth services and sports to coordinate player schedules and arranging transportation in coordination, including pick-ups and drops using electric buses. He also directed the Ladakh Police and traffic police for smooth and hassle free public vehicle movements during the week-long event, specially during the opening and closing ceremony.
Additionally, he directed Chief Education Officer to facilitate student’s participation for opening and closing ceremony from both nearby private schools and government schools during the tournament, providing them with exposure as several clubs from within and outside Ladakh will be competing. The Municipal Committee, Leh was instructed to place additional dustbins at the venue to maintain cleanliness and promote a sustainable environment.
The meeting was attended by the Additional Superintendent of Police, Rigzin Sangdup, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Tsering Tashi, Assistant Director, Tourism, Padma Angmo along with other officers and other key stakeholders.
