India upholds Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, alerts Pakistan of flood threat despite suspended IWT: Dr. Pardeep | |
Jammu, August 28 (Scoop News)-Government of India’s decision to alert Pakistan about the imminent threat of floods in the Tawi River, even while the Indus Water Treaty remains suspended, is a shining testimony to Bharat’s timeless ethos of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (The World Is One Family), said Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Media Incharge BJP J&K.
Dr. Pardeep Mahotra said that this step reflects the deep-rooted cultural and ideological integrity of India, which has always placed humanitarian values above political or military hostility. He said that despite Pakistan being directly responsible for the killing of Indian nationals in the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack and despite the inflammatory statements of Pakistan’s political and military leadership, India chose to act with compassion, prioritizing the safety of innocent lives across the border.
Dr. Pardeep recalled that India had suspended the sharing of hydrological data with Pakistan after the barbaric Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 people were killed and many others injured. He added that yet when faced with a humanitarian situation, the Indian government chose to rise above animosity and extend a timely warning that may have saved hundreds of lives in Pakistan.
Dr. Pardeep pointed out that this decision was taken even as India itself is grappling with incessant rains, loss of human lives, and extensive damage to vital infrastructure. He stressed that this action is not just a diplomatic courtesy, it is the reflection of Bharat’s centuries-old civilizational spirit that believes in Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah (may all be happy).
Dr. Pardeep Mahotra emphasized that while Pakistan continues to export terrorism and hatred, India has once again proven that its strength lies in compassion, responsibility, and humanitarian values. He lauded the principled stand of the Government of India, which has reinforced India’s global image as a nation that stands for peace, humanity, and world brotherhood.
Dr. Pardeep further said that the world must recognize this contrast, while Pakistan persists with terror, India responds with humanity. This humanitarian gesture is a clear example of Bharat’s civilizational greatness, which believes not in hatred or vengeance but in the welfare of all creation, he said.
