DIG IRP Jammu visits IRP-19th Battalion Headquarters, Kathu | |  Kathua, August 08 (Scoop News)-Dr. Vinod Kumar, IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police, IRP Range Jammu, today visited the IRP-19th Battalion Headquarters, Kathua, to assess the functioning of the unit and review the progress of ongoing construction works within the complex. Upon his arrival, Dr. Kumar was accorded a warm welcome by Shri Atul Sharma, SSP Commandant of the Battalion, along with other officers. A ceremonial Guard of Honour was presented to him by a contingent of the unit. The Commandant briefed the DIG on the battalion’s role, achievements, current deployments, and the challenges faced by its personnel. Addressing a mega darbar attended by around 150 officers and officials, Dr. Kumar patiently listened to the grievances put forth by unit personnel and issued on-the-spot instructions for their redressal. He urged the personnel to maintain high standards of turnout and discipline, remain people-friendly, and actively contribute to enhance the work culture. He further assured that the welfare of all personnel would remain a top priority. As part of the visit, DIG, IRP Jammu, participated in a plantation drive organized on the occasion , during which 150 fruit saplings were planted. He encouraged all participants to take part in such initiatives to promote a green and healthy environment.
The DIG also inspected the ongoing construction works and reviewed various battalion facilities, including the barracks, mess, wet canteen, ladies’ barracks, stores, and other allied unit establishments. ... |
