| Raising day of Border 2nd Battalion Celebrated | |
Srinagar, July 01 (Scoop News)-The 7th Raising Day of the Border 2nd Battalion was commemorated with great enthusiasm and pride at the Unit Headquarters, Armed Police Complex Zewan.
Junaid Mehmood, IPS, Dy. Insp. General, IRP Kashmir, was the chief guest on the occasion. Sh. Arif Amin Shah, SSP and Commandant of the battalion, in his address, highlighted the remarkable achievements of the unit, since its creation in 2018.
The Commandant encouraged the personnel to maintain their commendable performance and urged them to lead by example.
He emphasized the need to rejuvenate their efforts in upholding the dignity and excellence of the unit.
While addressing the gathering, DIG, IRP, Shri Junaid Mehmood, underscored the strategic significance of the formation of the Border Battalion. He noted that these units were established to safeguard the sensitive border areas and districts of Baramulla, Bandipora, and Kupwara.
Sh. Anand Jain ,IPS ,ADGP Armed J&K also congratulated the unit personnel on the Raising Day.
In his congratulatory message, he complemented Commandant for successfully organizing the Raising Day function and hoped that, the unit personnel will continue the good work in future.
