DA-JGUA: Buffer camp organized at PHC Wangath for tribal welfare & health outreach
Ganderbal, June 29 (Scoop News)-As part of the ongoing Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DA-JGUA), a dedicated Buffer camp was held today at PHC Wangath, Block Kangan, with a focused thrust on tribal health services and welfare saturation.

The camp aimed to bring essential healthcare, social welfare schemes, and awareness initiatives directly to the doorstep of tribal communities, especially Gujjar and Bakarwal populations residing in the upper belts of Wangath and nearby hamlets.

Medical teams provided free health check-ups, maternal and child care consultations, and screening for non-communicable diseases, while departments like Social Welfare, ICDS, Education, Rural Development, and NRLM delivered spot services related to PM-JANMAN, PMJAY-SEHAT, Mission Shakti, and scholarships.

Officials highlighted the government’s vision of saturating tribal habitations with welfare schemes, promoting digital access, and enhancing livelihood opportunities, particularly for tribal women and youth.

The camp saw active community participation and concluded with a reaffirmed commitment by the district administration to ensure inclusive and sustainable tribal development through such continued outreach efforts.
