| Divisional Magistrate, Nubra Convenes Meeting on Flash Flood Response Preparedness | |
Nubra, June 27 (Scoop News)-Sub-Divisional Magistrate Nubra, Mukul Beniwal IAS, convened a meeting today at the Conference Hall of the SDM Office Complex Diskit, to review disaster preparedness and emergency response protocols in view of potential flash flood situations.
During the meeting, he directed the Medical Department to ensure that response teams, ambulance and first aid kits are kept ready for any such emergencies. He further instructed the Tehsildar/ Naib Tehsildars to identify vulnerable flash flood zones in their respective areas in consultation with Nambardars and ensure that local volunteers are prepared to assist in any emergency response efforts.
Additionally, he instructed that emergency inventory and toolkits be kept in a state of readiness at all times with regular maintenance every month.
All concerned departments were directed to ensure coordination and maintain updated list of zone wise contact persons in case of emergency.
The meeting was attended by Tehsildar Diskit, representative from 19 FBSU Air Force Thoise, 102 Infantry Brigade and 54 RCC GREF along with Naib Tehsildars of Diskit and Khalsar,XEN PWD Nubra, Block Medical Officer Nubra, officers from Irrigation and Flood Control, PHE and PDD Nubra and the President of the Nambardar Association, Nubra.
