Gandhi Global Family Relief Efforts reached Khour, Jammu Border | | Jammu, June 19 (Scoop News) – Relief distribution for Pakistan shelling-affected families in Khour, Jammu
In a compassionate initiative led by Lt. Gen. Rakesh Sharma, Advisor GGF J&K and President of the J&K Ex-Services League, relief material was distributed among families affected by Pakistan shelling in the Sub Division Khour, located along the Jammu border.
The distribution drive included essential items such as grocery kits (21Kg each), tents, fruits and biscuits. The affected families had been identified by the office of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Khour. Shri Satish Sharma JKAS, SDM Khour, along with his team, was present during the distribution to oversee the efforts and ensure smooth coordination.
Dr. S. P. Varma, President GGF J&K, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the elders associated with Gandhi Global Family for their generous support. Special acknowledgement was extended to Shri Raman Gupta, Shri S. P. Sharma (Chairperson IDPS Akhnoor) and Dr. Sonia Verma for their generous contributions toward providing relief to the needy families.
Other dignitaries present at the event included Mr. Raj Kumar Sharma, Vice President GGF Jammu Region; Shri Raman Gupta, Advisor GGF Jammu Urban; Shri S. P. Sharma, President GGF Akhnoor and Dr. Sonia Verma, GGF Awardee. The local cadre of Gandhi Global Family (GGF) and members of the JK Ex-Services League were also actively participating in the relief efforts.
Since the initiation of Operation Sindoor, Gandhi Global Family J&K has been consistently conducting relief camps across Jammu & Kashmir, with a special focus on the cross-border-affected families residing along the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border (IB). Key areas of focus include Poonch, Rajouri and Jammu in the Jammu Division and Baramulla and Kupwara in the Kashmir Division.
