| Arrangements for historic mela at Devsthan Jadsarkote discussed at Udhampur | | Udhampur,June 19 (Scoop News)- To discuss the arrangements for the smooth conduct of Historic Jadsarkote mela which is commencing from June 25 2025, the Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai today convened a meeting of officers of various departments, here in the Mini Conference Hall DC Office Complex.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh, Chief Medical Officer, Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, Executive Engineer JPDCL and other senior officers besides representatives of the mela committee attended the meeting.
Detailed discussions were held on the arrangements for security, sanitation, health care, transport, traffic management, drinking water and power supply, Installation of departmental stalls, maintenance of road, checking of rates etc.
The DC directed all the departments to work in coordination to finalize the necessary arrangements well before the commencement of the mela. She urged the local mela Committee members to extend full support to make the mela a grand success as public participation is of great importance in promoting tourism and economy of the area.
Executive Engineer PHE was asked to make adequate arrangements regarding drinking water supply at the mela site while Xen PDD was directed to provide uninterrupted power supply during the mela days. The Chief Medical Officer was directed to deploy a team of doctors at the venue. Similarly, the meeting discussed the deployment of security personnel by the Police Department for the mela days.
