District-Level BHOTI and ARABIC FLN-TLM Mela successfully conducted in Leh


Leh,September 14 (Scoop News)-The district-level BHOTI and ARABIC Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Teaching-Learning Material (FLN-TLM) Mela was organized for the first time at Eco Park on September 13. The programme aimed at enhancing teaching-learning methodologies, witnessed enthusiastic participation from 80 schools from Zone Leh, Nyoma, Durbuk, Kharu, Khalsi, Nubra of Leh District, with teachers showcasing innovative educational materials and techniques.

Hon’ble Deputy Chairman LAHDC, Leh, Tsering Angchuk was the Chief Guest during the event and Hon’ble Councellor Phyang Tundup Nurbu was the Guest of Honour. In his address, Deputy Chairman LAHDC Leh praised the efforts of the participating schools and enthusiasm displayed by the teachers. He emphasized the importance of such initiatives in improving the quality of education and fostering creative approaches to teaching.

President LBA Tsering Dorjey Lakruk and Language wing team headed by former Prof. Ven Dadul also visited the stall and congratulated DIET Team for emphasizing the importance of Bhoti and Arabic Language in schools through exhibition.

The event provided a unique opportunity for educators to present and discuss innovative Teaching-Learning Materials (TLM) tailored for foundational literacy and numeracy in Arabic and other subjects. Teachers from all participating schools exhibited great zeal and commitment, making the Mela a vibrant and dynamic platform for learning and exchange.

Among the highlights of the Mela were the awards presented to the top-performing schools. In bhoti category, the first position was secured by Primary School Igu Langkor , Second Position by Middle School Alchi and Third position by Middle School Saspol. Likewise in Arabic category, First Position was secured by Middle School Farol Turtuk, second position by Middle School Ranbirpur and Third position was bagged by Middle School Leh.

The Chief Guest congratulated the winning teams and all the participants, commending them for their dedication to improve the educational landscape in the district. He also expressed satisfaction with the arrangements of the event and encouraged schools to continue with such participatory learning endeavours to enhance the quality of education.

The successful conclusion of the BHOTI And ARABIC FLN-TLM Mela has set a benchmark for future educational events in the district, encouraging schools to explore new avenues of teaching and learning.
