ADDC leh reviews Aadhar saturation in Leh District | | Leh, September 14 (Scoop News)-The Additional District Development Commissioner Leh, chaired a meeting to review the Aadhar penetration and usage of Aadhar for good governance today on September 14 at VC Room, DC Office, Leh.
During the meeting, Assistant Manager UIDAI Ladakh Taief Mir, briefed about the active Aadhar Centers and its saturation status in Leh district. He mentioned that the Aadhar saturation for the age of 0-5 is 36.56%, for the age 5-18, it is 122.75% and for the age above 18, it is 81.25%. He also briefed about action taken report of all the departments.
Further, he focused on making non-functional kits active and identify operators for them. He also informed the ADDC about the verification process and pending cases and the need for more camps to aware people about registration and updation of Aadhar.
ADDC stressed on the saturation of Aadhar and spoke about importance of updating one’s Aadhar account and get it linked with phone number and account number to get direct benefit for any service. He instructed all the officers to emphasis on Aadhar seeding and link all their schemes with Aadhar to amplify the saturation and focus on good governance.
Further, he also instructed Education Department and ICDS to improve the saturation of Aadhar for children by setting up camps at schools. He instructed the Chief Education Officer to create camps and engage principals and teachers to disseminate the information and make students aware of it. He also directed ICDS Department to create camps and mobilize their Anganwadi workers to spread the information. In addition, he instructed the Banks to raise awareness about Aadhar along with their financial Inclusion camps.
ADDC Leh directed all the officials not to keep any pending cases on the portal. He also stressed on creating awareness on updating Aadhar to the public which can be done through UIDAI website, maadhar app or nearby Aadhar centres.
