| Iconic Week celebrated in sub-division Khalsti, Nyoma | |
Leh, October 25 (Scoop News)-The 'Iconic Week' was celebrated with full fervour at Sub-Division Khaltsi. Similarly, ICDS Nyoma conducted the same event at Sub-Division Nyoma.
The event is being celebrated as a part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.
The event started with the National anthem followed by different cultural performances by the Cultural Academy Department, Leh. Artists from different villages of Sham block performed during the occasion.
Students from Government Higher Secondary School, Khaltsi and Government Middle School, Khaltsi exhibited cultural performances in front of the audience.
Stalls displaying handicraft and handloom products and awareness campaigns on the issuance of residence certificate, golden card, Aadhar card, employment registration, schemes related to bank loans, job card, Jal Jeevan Mission scheme, One Nation One Ration card were a part of the event. Government departments also spread awareness about different government schemes to the people.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Khaltsi, Suhail Ahmad; Chairman, BDC Khaltsi, Stanzin Choskit; Chairman BDC Skurbuchan, Tashi Yangskit; Sarpanch Khaltsi, Nawang Rigzin; Sarpanch Lamayuru, Tashi Nurboo; Sarpanch Tia, Phuntsog Angchuk, concerned officers and officials of Sub-Division Khaltsi were present during the occasion.
