Terming the decision of disengagement as unfortunate, Satwant Kaur Dogra said that at a time when unemployment levels are rising in Jammu and Kashmir and the educated boys and girls are struggling with neglect due to lack of job-creation policy of the government, such a decision to render those jobless, who were already in employment, can prove disastrous. She said that the residents of Jammu are feeling cheated by the ruling party as BJP exploited their “nationalistic feelings” and “patriotism”.
