Medical staff working tirelessly to contain spread of Covid-19
Take samples of passengers travelling in 417 vehicles at Khaltsi checkpost

Leh,(Ladakh), May 04 (Scoop News)-To ensure the hassle-free journey of the passengers and control the spread of Covid-19 in the region, the medical staff led by Block Medical Officer (BMO) and police personnel are working day and night at the Khaltse checkpost. It was the result of the 12-hour effort, starting 4 PM the earlier day to 4 PM the next day, that the medical staff managed to take samples of passengers in 417 vehicles, including 101 load carriers, 184 motor vehicles and 132 tankers.
Medical staff, the administration and police personnel are ensuring that passengers produce the mandatory negative RT-PCR test reports without which they are not allowed to travel further and sent back to their native places. Passengers who test positive are immediately placed in quarantine.
Meanwhile, the district administration has appealed to everyone to follow Covid appropriate behaviour (CAB) and follow the SOPs. District Administration has initiated strict actions against the SOPs violators and imposed restrictions in the district to contain Covid cases.
