BJP celebrated Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti as Samrasta Diwas, organized various Sewa programmes

Jammu, April 14 (Scoop News)- BJP Jammu & Kashmir celebrated Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti as Samrasta Diwas wherein its leaders organized and participated in various Sewa programmes. The programmes were organized at booth level by the party leaders and at the prominent places and Chowks across the region.
Ravinder Raina, J&K BJP President also addressed the workers of party’s SC Morcha at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, while he earlier addressed a massive gathering and garlanded the statue of Baba Saheb at Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Chowk (Panama Chowk), Jammu.
Ravinder Raina paid tributes to the chief architect of the Indian Constitution on the occasion and said that his ideas and ideals have taught way of life to all the sections of society. He said that the Nation will always be indebted for his contributions. Conferred with the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award, Baba Saheb will continue to be a role model for the millions for centuries to come. He said that it was a pity that a person with such a strong persona was not given due recognition by earlier Congress led governments and said that BJP has ensured that contributions of Baba Saheb are remembered at the booth level.
Ashok Kaul, J&K BJP General Secretary (Org.) led the programmes on Samrasta Diwas in Kashmir, termed Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar as the iconic social revolutionary of modern times who continued his mission of struggle throughout his life. Speaking on his life, Raina said that born on April 14, 1891, Baba Saheb was an Indian jurist, economist, politician and social reformer who campaigned against social discrimination towards every oppressed class. He urged all to ensure that their future generations do remember contributions of such great personalities so that the society never loses its track.
Vibodh Gupta, J&K BJP General Secretary (Incharge Samrasata Diwas programmes), provided details on various programmes held. He said that Blood donation camps, Swachta prgrammes were organized in various areas, pledges were taken by prominent BJP cadre along with civil society members for denouncing the use of Single Use Plastics, Langars were organized in Sewa Bastis, sweets and study material was distributed in Sewa Bastis, Candles and Earthen Diyas were lightened in form of Deep Malas at prominent places especially on the statues of Baba Saheb and the BJP workers later spend time in the Sewa Basti in minimum of 10 Sewa Bastis in every District, were organized by the party cadre.


Ambedkar sowed seed of egalitarian society: Yudhvir Sethi
Remembering B.R Ambedkar on his 130th birth Anniversary, J&K BJP Vice President Yudhvir Sethi on Wednesday applauded the significant role played by the architect of the Indian Constitution in treading the country towards becoming egalitarian society.
Addressing a number of functions organized to celebrate Ambedkar Jayanti in various parts of the city, the senior BJP leader said that role played by the legal laureate in carving out the law book of the country is praiseworthy and he shall be remembered for long time as the inception of constitution removed the dark era of inequality and prejudice from the society. He said that the difficult life which Baba Saheb lead paved way for today’s shining India which is about to become one of the top most developed nations of the world with no distinction among people on the basis of caste, colour or creed. The functions which the senior BJP leader addressed were held in Qasim Nagar Ward No 19, Mohalla Ramdasiya Talab Khattikan Ward No. 5, East Mandal Karyakram at Kaleeth Park in Ward 15, Ward 3 Lakshmi Narayan Mandir and Ward 11 Purani Mandi. Yudhvir also distributed Langar at various places on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti and also disbursed Ayushman Cards among the beneficiaries.
Yudhvir Sethi said that the life history of Baba Saheb is a source of inspiration for all as he faced and confronted head-on the challenges of those times tirelessly and came out with flying colours. “Ambedkar has set an example for others by doing something which at that point of time was considered to be impossible”, he said adding that nation must salute the willpower and persona of Baba Saheb, which comprised of extraordinary composure and aplomb.
Along with Kuldeep Kandhari, Parveen Kerni, Chaman Lal, Hari Om Adarsh Jathiar, Kartar Gupta, Swarn Singh, Sardar Harvinder, Briz Lal Verma, Tarsem Lal, Briz Lal, Jiya Lal, Ravi Sangral, Sahil Mahajan, Charan Jeet Singh, Charanjeet Mahotra.





BJP Jammu West pays tributes to Dr. BR Ambedkar on his birth annivesary
BJP’s unit of District Jammu West paid tributes to Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his birth anniversary while celebrating one of the party's six festivals. BJP celebrates Ambedkar’s birthday as “Samrasta Diwas”. The program was held at District headquarters where Lok Sabha MP Jugal Kishore Sharma and Former State President BJP Sat Sharma (CA) along with other leaders of the party paid tributes to Ambedkar. The program was held under the leadership of District President Munish Khajuria.
State BJP Executive Member Praduman Singh, District General Secretaries Advocate Rajesh Gupta & Advocate Karan Sharma, Mandal President Raveesh Mengi, Corporators Suneet Raina and Sunita Gupta and many others including District and Mandal Office Bearers were present. He advised youth to follow on the footsteps of Ambedkar.
Speaking on the occasion, Jugal Kishore Sharma said that Ambedkar's efforts to bring the deprived sections of society into the mainstream will remain an example for every generation. "I bow to the great Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on Ambedkar Jayanti," he added.
Sat Sharma said that he was fondly referred to as Babasaheb, he was a jurist, economist, politician and social reformer who campaigned against social discrimination and supported the rights of women and workers.
Munish Khajuria said that Ambedkar gave a strong foundation to independent India so the nation could move forward while strengthening its democratic heritage.
