JKSSB concludes computer based test for 500 posts
Jammu, November 18, (Scoop News)-The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board on Saturday concluded the first ever Computer based Written Tests (CBT) for about 500 posts of different departments wherein negative marking was also introduced for the first time. Officials said the examinations were conducted at ten centers in two capital cities of Jammu and Srinagar from 14th to 18th November, 2017. Around 5500 candidates took this exam with lot of curiosity and enthusiasm. For the first time, biometric registration was also carried out at all centers to prevent any impersonation. Govt announces winter vacation for schools
Jammu, November 17, (Scoop News)-The Government today announced winter vacations for educational institutions of Kashmir division and winter zone of Jammu division. According to an order issued by the Education Department, winter vacation for upto 8th standard would be observed with effect from 4th of December 2017 to 3rd March 2018 while for 9th standard onwards the vacation would be observed with effect from 11th December 2017 to 24th of February, 2018. Drug peddler arrested in Anantnag
