Kargil, December 15 (Scoop News)-The Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC Kargil, Mr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, attended the Losar-e-RGaston Poetic Symposium of Purgi poets and the book release ceremony of “Chronicles of the Last Village” authored by Ali Asgar Balti. The programme was organised by the Purgi Culture and Literary Society, Kargil, Ladakh.
The event was also attended by Padma Shri awardee Akhoon Asgar Basharat, Special Officer (Culture) and Assistant Director Tourism, Kargil, Mr. Mohammad Ali Tak, besides writers, poets, scholars, and literary figures representing Shina, Balti, Purgi, and Brokskat languages.
