Army puts Jawans for rescue operation at Khardungla Top
Leh ,January 18 (Scoop News)-Two civilian trucks alongwith 10 civilians were buried under an avalanche of approx 20 feet depth, approx 800metres from Khardungla Top towards South Pullu today. The message of this unfortunate incident was given to the Army detachment at Khardungla Top at approx 0745hrs by the two civilian drivers. Immediately on receipt of this information all resources of the Fire & Fury Corps were activated. Leh ,January 18 (Scoop News)-In a tragic avalanche accident that took place today morning on Khardong-La road (near India Gate), 5 labours were dead and 5 still missing when reports last came in. It was conformed that two trippers and one Scorpio with 10 labours were engaged by Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. to bring snow for AUH Helicopter stationed at Leh which was supposed to make trail land on the snow. Leh(Ladakh), January 14, (Scoop News)_Over 200 km to the south of Kargil district headquarters, the work on 2, 500nMW solar Photo Voltaic (PV) plant is likely to commence shortly, informed sources said. The project will come up on the large swathes of inhospitable land in Suru Valley, they said adding the project is envisaged to be completed by 2023. The power generated from the PV plant will book up with the grid at Alisteng near Srinagar.
