| CEC Gyalson handed over funds to the needy and poor families | |
Leh, December 03 (Scoop News)- The Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC, Leh Advocate Tashi Gyalson handed over Rs. 50,000/- Cheque and Rs. 10,000/= cash to Tehsildar Durbuk for Abi Palkit of Satoo-Kargyam whose video went viral recently.
CEC Gyalson advised Tehsilder Durbuk to open a fixed deposit account for Abi Palkit at the nearest bank and directed him to ensure judicious use of the money for construction of a new house for her. CEC said that Council will also ensure to provide funds under PMAY to construct a house for her in the upcoming working season so that she can also add this amount to raise her house. He also instructed Tehsilder to check whether Abi Palkit is getting old age pension and disabled pension for her child and further directed Tehsilder to identify such other deserving vulnerable people who need support.
CEC also handed over Rs. 5000/= cash to one lady from Stakna who is in need of financial support for her child treatment and also asked ADC, Leh to release Rs. 50,000/= either in red cross or under Dhana Petrol Pump funds.
Later, CEC also handed over Rs. 8000/= cash to the family from Rong whose house caught fire and lost all their winter feed for livestock.
