Representation to ECI on most discriminatory treatment in UT of J&K against state recognized parties

Jammu, July 16 (Scoop News)-Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of J&K National Panthers Party has made a strong representation to the Election Commission of India, New Delhi seeking urgent intervention of the Chief Election Commissioner to direct the Lt. Governor to treat all recognized political parties in Union Territory of J&K according to the Constitution and the rules of the Election Commission. NPP Supremo has in the representation to the CEC accused the administration in the Union Territory of J&K for maltreating the recognized political parties in J&K. There are only three state recognized political parties in the Union Territory namely, J&K National Panthers Party, National Conference and PDP. The Panthers Party’s representation has submitted to the Election Commission that J&K administration has directed all police stations in the Union Territory in Kashmir and as well as in Jammu province to file criminal cases/registered FIRs against the legal and constitutional activity of the Panthers Party if the party starts registering fresh membership of the party or it holds any light weight small peaceful protest against the illegal and unconstitutional acts of the state administration.
NPP Supremo has complained to the Election Commission that several FIRs have been filed against the peacefully moving the Panthers Party activists for registering membership. He has conveyed that several FIRs in Kishtwar as well as in Ramban Districts have been filed against peaceful and legitimate actions of Panthers Party workers only for registering membership. He said that in Ramban District several Panthers Party workers were detained in the police stations only because the office bearers were issuing membership slips to the Panthers Party new entrance. Same kind of FIR for the same reason was filed in the District of Kishtwar. Registering fresh members of the Panthers Party, a recognized political party by the Election Commission of India, is an offence under the new code of Union Territory of J&K.
Prof.Bhim Singh, the Founder of J&K National Panthers Party, now a recognised political party by the Election Commission, has been banned by the administration in J&K even to register fresh members. In several police stations the Panthers Party office bearers have remained locked in police stations in Baramulla, Kupwara and other places. Some of them were released with a warning after signing the bail bond before the police station.
Prof.Bhim Singh has also urged the President of India, Shri Ramnath Kovind for his immediate direction to the Lt. Governor administration in the Union Territory of J&K to not to treat political activists peacefully registering members of the party. He has also conveyed to the Panthers Party activists and the new entrance in the entire Union Territory to go ahead with registration of membership of the party. The NPP Supremo has conveyed to the Election Commission of India that the party shall move the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India seeking justice, equity and application of rule of law in J&K in respect of the legitimate activities of the workers of the recognized political parties in J&K and for the release of political workers of recognized political parties arrested under false FIRs .
