| Awantipora Police arrests terrorist associate; arms and ammunition recovered | |
Srinagar, July 15 (Scoop News)-Police in Awantipora along with security forces have arrested a terrorist associate linked to proscribed terror outfit LeT.
The arrested terrorist associate has been identified as Sahil Farooq Mir resident of Chakoora Pulwama. As per the police records he was involved in providing shelter, logistics and other support to the LeT terrorists, besides he was also involved in transporting arms/ ammunition to the terrorists operating in Tral, Kakpora, Khrew and Awantipora areas.
Incriminating material including explosive material and ammunition has been recovered from him in Noorpora area.
Accordingly, a case FIR No.92/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Awantipora and further investigation has been initiated.
