| Indian army evacuates stranded civilians from snow clad Gurez | |
Srinagar, March 15 (Scoop News)-Army Camp Dawar of Snow Leopard Brigade facilitated airlift of more than 160 stranded civilians from Gurez on 15 March. Priority for evacuation was given to four critically ill patients and students appearing for upcoming semester exams. The helipad was made operational by Dawar Battalion despite heavy snow cover in record time. The army also provided necessary succor and administrative support in the cold weather conditions.
