Renzushah Chairman KSI meets Governor



Srinagar, May -13 (Scoop News)-Khawaja Farooq Renzushah, Chairman Kashmir Society International met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhawan here today.

Sh. Renzushah expressed his gratitude to Governor for renovation of Sufi Shrines in Kashmir and urged him to advise the Tourism Department to encourage pilgrimage tourism at these revered Shrines. He requested: early completion of under construction fly-overs, railway tracks for facilitation of commuters; ban on alcohol in Kashmir, stringent punishment for the culprit who raped a child, promotion of Kashmir’s culture outside, encouraging Scouts & Guides movement and sports activities and declare Shahar- e- Khas as a Heritage city.


The prominent writer, Novelist, Author of several distinguished books, & recipient of various International & National Awards, Khawaja Farooq Renzushah chairman Kashmir Society international today called on The Governor J&K Satiya Pal Malik at Raj Bhawan. He appreciated Governor for intensifying progress on Development in state of Jammu & Kashmir. He expressed thanks to him that after presentation by Kashmir Society in last meeting instructions were passed down for up gradation of Sufi Shrines in Kashmir. The tourism department was advised to encourage Sufi tourist pilgrimages which will strengthen mutual love.

Renzushah intimated Governor that unfortunately some main stream political Regimes who have manage their political monopolies by encouraging violence in Kashmir for perpetuating their power have always ignored Kashmir Development & mostly resorted to hollow emotive slogans which further complicated situation in Kashmir. He said the works on flyovers for last ten years remained paralysed and now it seems certain that it will be completed within one month. He brought to the notice of Governor that Srinagar could not be connected with Jammu through rail link since 1947 and now certainty of this link seems emerging with Developmental scenario under Governor Regime. He requested Governor to scrap Wine Bill passed by previous regimes so that Ban on wine is imposed in Kashmir. He brought in notice of Governor the most alarming incident of raping of 3 years baby by a person whose age was tried to be fudged by Islamic Education Trust. The free use of drugs wine Bill and Politicalization of education apparatus are basic reasons of such incidents which has shaken society. He pleaded for capital punishment to culprits.

Renzushah also pleaded for Cultural and intellectual promotion in Kashmir. He said cultural department in past has failed in its duties to bring youth in its fold now it is expected that doors of culture will be opened. As Chief Commissioner J&K scouts Renzushah pleaded for promotion of scouts and sports Activities. He also reminded Governor to declare Shahar-e-Khas as Heritage city with separate district status to improve detoriating conditions of original city people. He also requested Governor to get Sheikh-ul-Aalam international Airport name revived. He pleaded for opening of Hazrat Bulbushah chair in Central University. He pleaded for free flow of traffic on all routes without toll fees till Development of Kashmir.

Renzushah brought in notice of Governor the matter of Sheeraz Bagh and the Holy shrine of Sheraz Bagh where name of Sheeraz Bagh of Gul-e-Lala is required to be mentioned than Hebrew word Tulip which is against culture of Kashmir. He appealed for six lane of Boulvard. He appealed for Separate District of Hazratbal & Sonwar. He also intimated him how holy graves & Sufi shrines were vandalised to create Royal Golf spring. He appealed for revamping & Decentralizing of Waqaf Board so that the donations are spent on holy shrines rather allowed to be looted by political parties as happened during last 70 years. He also requested for establishing AIIMS in Shalimar opposite Meerk sahib shrine where five star hotel was allowed to be built.
