| Professor Siddiqui visits Zaiba Aapa Institute to met students with different disabilities | |
Bijbehara,April 21 (Scoop News)- Vice chancellor Islamic University of Science and technology professor Mushtaq Ahmad Siddiqui today visits Zaiba Aapa Institute of Inclusive Education Bijbehara. He discusses the programmes run by institute for the empowerment of students with severe disabilities. He discussed long and short term goals of the institute and explained long term sutainability of the institute through crowd funding and other assets creation. Dr siddiqui interacted with students with differnt disabilities seeking formal education and trainings in routine daily living activities. He was accompanied by two faculty members of the university. Dr Siddiqui visited under constructed accessible building of Zaiba Aapa institute and announced donating a genset for the school. In addition he announced the direct educational support for the students with disabilities in shape of laboratory equipments.
In addition he said disable friendly environment will be created in IUST and long term relationship will be developed with zaiba Aapa Institute of Inclusive Education Bijbehara in order empower and rehabilitate the children with disabilities. The university will play hand holding role in future by linking rehabilitation council of india. Professor added.... |
