| Army conducts youth festival at Ramban | |
Udhampur , March 16 (Scoop News)-Indian Army in its commitment to empower the youth by providing platform to showcase their talents, recognizing and awarding their talent organized a Annual Youth Festival at Ramban from 14-16 Mar 19.
The youth festival was inaugurated by Mr Abdul Hamid Fanni, CEO Ramban. The first day commenced with great enthusiasm and various competitions viz spoon race with lemon, elocution, group song, drawing, tug of war , volleyball and quiz competition were organised at GHSS Ramban.
The second day started with Inter school/ college dance competition followed by an awareness rally on ‘National Integration’ and ‘Drug De-Addiction’ .Placards, posters and banners were displayed by the students supporting the cause during the rally. The day concluded with a enthralling performance by Military Band, playing tunes of popular folk songs of Kashmiri origins.
The final day stared with a exhibition cum mela with the involvement of various department like Horticulture, Agriculture, Forest, Skill Development Centre, Banks, Insurance Company, State Industry Department and Army Weapon Display, The event was graced by presence of Mr Showkat Aijaz Bhat, DC Ramban, Mrs Anita Sharma, SSP Ramban and other distinguished guests. Prizes were given away to all the winners of all events. The efforts of Indian Army were applauded by all present especially the locals.
