Leh, February 11 (Scoop News)- The Chairman & Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Leh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, Deputy Chairman Gyal P. Wangyal, Executive Councilor Phuntsog Stanzin, Tsering Sandup, Muntaz Hussain and Councillors of LAHDC, Leh gave a grand traditional reception to former Minister and MLC Leh Chering Dorjey Lakrook and first Divisional Commissioner of Ladakh Saugat Biswas at Kushok Bakula Rinpochey (KBR) Airport Leh today.
CEC credited the key role of former Minister, Chering Dorjey Lakrook in according Divisional Status for Ladakh who have been constantly pursuing the demand with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Governor J&K State, Shri Satya Pal Malik and all the concerned ministers and higher authorities at both Center and State level by advocating the legitimacy of the demand on every platform. The enormous experiences of MLC Chering Dojrey who held many key positions under his belt including Minister for Ladakh Affairs and Cooperative and Chairman LAHDC, Leh and guided present Council in chasing the demand of divisional status for Ladakh, quipped JTN and hoped that under is visionary leadership, the present Council will touch new heights and fully come up to the people’s expectation.
Jamyang Tsering Namgyal on behalf of LAHDC, Leh and Ladakhi people congratulated and welcomed the first Divisional Commissioner of Ladakh, Saugat Biswas on his arrival at Leh Airport today. He said that the experiences of a senior IAS officer who have already served the people of Leh district as DC/CEO, LAHDC, Leh in 2015 will surely help a lot in understanding and solving the peculiar problems of Ladakh and hoped that under his dynamic leadership, the journey of Ladakh Division will catch a constructive momentum in every sphere of development.
