| BJP holds meeting of BJP leaders from Ladakh | |
Jammu,January 18 (Scoop News)- BJP State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul chaired meeting of party leaders from Ladakh, at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. MLC Ch. Vikram Randhawa and Former Minister Chering Dorjey were also present in the meeting.
Ashok Kaul, while addressing the meeting, asked the BJP leaders from the region to gear up their activities in view of the approaching Parlaiamentary elections. He also listened to the issues put forth by the local BJP leaders while having threaqdbare discussions on the organizational issues and forthcoming party programmes. He especially discussed the preparations by the party leaders during the visit of PM Modi to Ladakh.
Kaul, prompted the leaders to present details of various organizational activities taken up by them in the region. He asked them to comlete formation of Shakti Kendra Incharges of four consituencies till ending February and to hold their Sammelans in the first week of March.
Kaul, emphasized on the booth workers and their upfront role in the Parliamentary elections. For ensuring win, only need is the sensitive approach of party leaders to the public ensuring that party policies and ideology is put before the masses, he insisted.
Chering Dorjey, highlighted the local issues faced of the region. He stressed that the dedicated workers of BJP will work with full energy in the upcoming elections. He said that substantial steps have been ensured by the PM Modi led NDA government for development of region by giving push to the tourism, local business generation, employment opportunities, dedicated power set ups etc. and BJP will ensure that the development process is further gained in the region.
Randhawa, assured the BJP leaders from the region that soon senior BJP leaders from the state will visit the area to pump up the ante for the Parliamentary elections. He emphasized that the prime election issue in the region will be focussed upon the development agenda. He also expressed confidencee that party will have better than before result in the elections in the region.
In the meeting, team of Ladakh Parliamentary Constituency was also announced. Chering Dorjey was appointed as Convenor of the committee.
President District Kargil Mohd. Ali Majaz, Councillors LAHDC Kargil Stenzin Lakpa, Stenzin Chosgyal, Haji Khuddam, Hassan Pasha, Akhoon Nias Ali, Stenzin Nawang and others were amongst the prominent BJP leaders present in the meeting.
