ITBP oorganixses second phase of Bharat Darshan tour


Leh, January 08 (Scoop News)- The second phase of Bharat Darshan tour organised by 37th Battalion, ITBP Police Leh was flagged off by Tsering Tundup, Ex. Deputy Comdt. ITBP, the chief guest on the occasion in presence of Tashi Namgyal, Comdt. 37th Battalion at Drona Hall, 5thBattalion ITBP Leh today.
The tour group comprises of 43 students and 4 teachers from Nyoma including Government Higher Secondary School, Government Middle School and Nomadic Residential School Puga and ITBP officials. The excursion tour includes Delhi Darshan and visit to famous historical and religious places in Odisha including Chilka Lake and Bird Sanctuary in Bhubaneswar.
Speaking on the occasion, Tsering Tundup, Ex Deputy Comdt ITBP said that taking students from remote border on Bharat Darshan has been a big achievement for ITBP. He said that it’s a great opportunity for students to get exposure outside Ladakh and get practical knowledge of historic places and important monuments in India that they have been studying in books. He urged the students to take full interest while visiting different places that will help in their future studies.
Tashi Namgial, Comdt. ITBP addressing the gathering said that the objective of this tour is to connect the students from remote border areas to mainstream India, strengthen idea of unity in diversity to give the sense of belonging to these students and aware them about Indian history, culture, ethnicity and diversity. He urged the students to take benefit of the tour in enhancing their knowledge about India and learning through various interactions during the tour. He wish the group best of journey and a happy time together.
Anil Kumar DAbral, Second-In-Command gave a presentation pertaining to the weeklong tour and appraised the students and accompanying staff about the daily itinerary of their tour. He urged the students to write a tour diary and share the experience and knowledge others once they reach back in Leh.
