| Save Sharda Committee working towards the cause with both the countries, India and Pakistan:Ravinder Pandita | |
Jammu, December 06 ((Scoop News)- Ravinder Pandita, founder and head of Save Sharda Committee Kashmir (Regd) , today said that our organization is working towards the cause with both the countries, India and Pakistan.
Save Sharda Committee) held a press conference here today in Jammu regarding the ongoing struggle for reopening Sharda Temple and the latest developments over the issue. Addressing to Press reporters Ravinder Pandita said, “Sharda peeth is one of the 18 highest peeths of Sanatan Dharma which holds is significance as one of the oldest universities.” Adding, “Yatra to this Shakti-peethflourished during Maharaja Ranbir Singh jis reign and Swami Nandlal ji was the last saint to occupy this seat.” Ravinder Pandita while appreciating the recent move by India and Pakistan regarding opening of Kartarpur Sahib corridor called upon both countries to show similar gesture on reopening of pilgrimage to Sharda Peeth letting the Hindus of J&K state and all Shankracharya followers to pay obeisance to the presiding deity of Kashmiri Hindus and Hindus who lived around the place in Sharda Tehsil, District Neelam of Pakistan occupied Kashmir. He said, “We at Save Sharda Committee Kashmir (R) have been struggling and persuading both the governments to revisit the LOC treaty and amend the LOC permit allowing J&K Hindus for annual pilgrimage to Sharda Peeth on lines of Nankana Sahib yatra.”

Highlighting the role and contribution of his organization in highlighting the issue, Ravinder Pandita said, “Our organization has been working steadfastly in this field because we believe it is a matter for faith and belief adding that it is our religious right to visit the sanctum abode of Mata Sharda and pray.” Ravinder Pandita added that Save Sharda Committee Kashmir (R) is registered as the organization working towards the cause with both the countries, India and Pakistan. Ravinder Pandit further added that as the founder of this committee I have met several politicians, ministers, bureaucrats’ religious heads and foreign officials during these years. In our incessant efforts to connect with our presiding deity, we opened channels with the civil society of POK and got pious soil from the sanctum sanatorium. Highlighting the statement of Primi Minister Narender Modi who recently said, 'Who thought Berlin Wall could have been brought down. Maybe, with the blessings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Kartarpur corridor will not only be a corridor but can become a reason behind a greater bonding of people.' Ravinder Pandita said, “ Governemnt of India must appreciate that Save Sharda Committee Kashmir Regd has already initiated people to people contact and is on way of realizing the prophetic words of our prime minister.”
Through people to people contact, the committee could lay flowers on peeth' through civil society across LoC, got photo of goddess installed in March 2017 and in January this year secured a landmark judgment on preservation of Sharda from Supreme Court of PoK. The flowers and pious soil was sent to committee by civil society of PoK many times by post and via LoC, as a good gesture. Ravinder Pandita has personally distributed the same to all Shankracharya mutts in the country. The committee has got a good following pan India and is assisting other organizations like core Sharda group in preservation of Sharda Lipi. All major Shankracharyas have already written to PM and HM, besides many prominent state leaders and religious leaders supporting the demand of reopening. The committee has received a book on historical facts of Sharda from a PoK author , that is being translated and relaunched here in near future. The committee has been exploring Sharda civilization and in this connection approached ISRO through Dr Jitendra Singh MOS PMO to know the extent of the civilization and is getting positive results. The committee has written to chief secretary and Governor for depicting Sharda on this year's Republic day tableau
The committee hopes that all like minded organisations as well as political parties to be on same page regarding opening of Sharda peeth'in PoK.
Ravinder Pandita called upon both governments to take lead in this pious and humanitarian effort making necessary changes in LOC permit thereby allowing annual pilgrimage to Sharda Peeth – one of the worlds oldest place of learning and knowledge.
