| Omar ,Dr Farooq condole demise of senior party leader | |
Srinagar, November 06 (Scoop News)-National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Mr. Omar Abdullah on Monday expressed grief over the demise of party leader and Ex MLC Muhammad Aslam Banday of Uri.
Offering condolences with the bereaved family Dr. Farooq said, “The party stands in unison with the grief-stricken family. Banday sahib was a selfless person, who had empathy for the downtrodden people. I pray to Almighty to give peace to the departed soul and strength to his family members to bear the loss.”
Party vice president Mr. Omar Abdullah while expressing his heartfelt condolences to the family of Mohammad Aslam Banday said, “Banday sahib belonged to the tribe of those selfless persons who worked tirelessly for socio-political emancipation of the poor. He voiced for voiceless all his life. I pray to almighty to give peace to the departed soul.”
Senior party leader and MLA Muhammad Shafi Uri said that Banday sahib’s death is a personal loss to him. “He was a lifelong colleague of mine. His death is indeed a personal setback for me,” he said. He prayed for peace to the departed soul.
Meanwhile senior party functionaries including Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar, Sheikh Mustafa kamal, Nasir Aslam Wani, Mohammad Akbar Lone, Javed Dar, Ghulam Hassan Rahi and Sajad Uri also paid glowing tributes to the departed soul.
