| Assembly Secretariat resumes work at Jammu | | Speaker, Dy Speaker take stock of arrangements made for smooth functioning of offices | Jammu, November 05 (Scoop News)-Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Dr Nirmal Singh along with Deputy Speaker, Nazir Ahmed Gurezi today took stock of the arrangements made for smooth functioning of Assembly Secretariat on the re-opening of the offices in the winter capital.
They inspected various sections of the Assembly Secretariat including Accounts Section, Establishment, Legislation, Reporting, Hospitality and Protocol, Stationary, Translation, Library etc.
The Speaker and Deputy Speaker interacted with heads and staff members of various sections and enquired about their working. They stressed upon them to do their work with utmost dedication.
They also listened issues of the employees regarding their accommodation and other related problems and assured them that their genuine problems would be looked into on priority.
The Speaker and Deputy Speaker also reviewed the pace of progress of work on New Assembly Legislative Complex. They also discussed the proposal for up-gradation of MLA hostel and improvement of the facilities there.
Earlier, the of Assembly Secretariat staff led by Secretary Assembly welcomed the Speaker and Deputy Speaker on their arrival to office after Darbar Move from Srinagar to Jammu.
Legislators, Ravinder Raina, Dina Nath Bhagat, Secretary Legislative Assembly, R L Sharma besides senior officers and officials of Assembly Secretariat also accompanied them.
