| CEC Kargil inspects dev works in Batalik sector, inaugurates Vajrapani Stupa | | Kargil, October 12 (Scoop News)-Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil Feroz Khan today visited various areas of Batalik area to take stock of the developmental works there besides to redress the problems being faced by locals in these areas.
He also inaugurated Vajrapani Stupa at Garkone and announced Rs 2 lakh for proper maintenance of the Stupa.
During the visit to Yoton village of the area, the CEC announced to provide solar lighting system in the area. In this connection, the CEC asked the KREDA to install solar lights on priority.
The CEC also visited Government Higher Secondary School, Silmo and enquired about the facilities available in the School. The School Management raised various issues including providing adequate water supply and repair work of hostel building. The CEC assured them that their genuine demands would be looked into.
He directed the concerned for early completion of repair work of Hostel building Silmo, early electrification of Higher Secondary School Silmo. The CEC announced to provide 5 KV Solar Plant at HSS Silmo through KREDA Kargil.
Interacting with the people, the Chairman said that focussed attention is being given to upgrade the basic infrastructure of all key sectors in the district. He said in this regard various initiatives are underway.
Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil, ErPanchokTashi and a team of senior Officers of district administration accompanied the CEC during the tour.
