BJP’s State Election Management Committee holds meeting | |
Srinagar, September 19 (Scoop News)- BJP’s State Election Management Committee held its crucial meeting under the chairmanship of BJP State President Ravinder Raina (MLA) at Jammu. BJP State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, State General Secretaries Dr. Narinder Singh, Yudhvir Sethi, Sunil Sharma, MP (Lok Sabha) Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP (Rajya Sabha) Shamsher Singh Manhas, former Dy. CM Kavinder Gupta, BJP State Vice-President Dr. D.K. Manyal, former Minister Sat Sharma, Tsering Dorjey and Mahila Morcha State President Rajni Sethi participated in the meeting. The committee held threadbare discussions on the Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections in the region. All the minute details including the discussions on the probable names of candidates were discussed in the meeting. During the meeting meeting, detailed discussions were held on the strategy to contest the elections. It was decided that the committees of every Ward will be framed to effectively contest the elections. The committee, unanimously decided to authorize the BJP State President Ravinder Raina (MLA) to take the final call on the names of the candidates to be fielded in the 33 Municipal Committees, 3 Councils and 1 Corporation i.e. 37 in total of Jammu region. For Leh region, Committee authorized Yudhvir Sethi, Vikram Randhawa and Tsering Dorjay to take the consent and declare the candidates for 2 Committees of the region. For Kashmir region, the Committee has authorized Ashok Kaul, Sunil Sharma and Sofi Yusuf to undertake the whole process.
