| District administration visit Kharu, Chemday, Sakti, Tagar, Taknak and Takthok Gonpa | |
Leh, September 10 (Scoop News)-The Executive Councilor for Health Gyal Wangyal along with SDM Kharu Gh. Mohd, ZEO Kharu Tsering Namgyal, BDO, Kharu Padma Angmo and other concerned officers made an extensive tour of Kharu, Chemday, Sakti, Tagar, Taknak and Takthok Gonpa.
At Kharu people demanded for earliest completion of link road form main road, fencing for pasture land, mini kitchen for Community Hall Kharu, early completion of borewheel at PHC Kharu and additional 2 to 3 staff at PHC Kharu.
At Chemday, people apprised EC Wangyal about the shortage of irrigation water due to which farmers are facing lots of problem to fetch their annual crop and demanded for earliest sanctioning and commissioning of Warila and Changla water diversion under PMKSY. They also demanded one hand pump for Panchyat Ghar Chimday, construction of Nallah –Tukchu road, earliest completion of road from Khaltse House to Chamday Gonpa Yougnos, installation of new handpumps at few places, fixation of particular day for ration distribution and proper functional of drinking water taps in Chemday village specially during winter months.
The people of Hemil-Kankyar also demanded for proper drinking water facility, replacement of electric wooden poles, completion of Tagar road, Bull for their Animal Centre, handpumps for Hamil and Paktsay hamlets and apprised EC about the garbage problem at Changla due to tourism.
At Takthok Gonpa, the Lamas demanded one submersible pump for monastery and earliest completion of parking area.
Addressing people gathering at all the villages, EC Gyal Wangyual informed people that from today, Ladakhi programme on DTH Channel of DD Kashir from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM on daily basis will be telecasted and congratulated people of Ladakh in general and Sakti area in particular as people of Sakti area were deprived from DD, Leh programmes due to very poor single. Wangyal highly appreciated the endeavour of MP Ladakh Thupstan Chhewang who played a curtail role in getting 30 minute’ time slot of DD, Leh on DD Kashir and expressed his gratitude to Thupstan Chhewang on behalf of the people of his constituency.
Giving patient hearing to all the issues and demands at all the villages, EC Wangyal issued on spot direction to concerned HODs for earliest redressal of all the minor demands and issues and assured people that he will strongly follow all major demands at Council and higher authority level. Regarding damage of crops specially Alfa-Alfa due to drought like situation in Sakti area, EC Wangyal said that affected farmers will get due compensation.
At Taknak people demanded MSC for village, drinking water facility and Yak for breading purpose. At Tagar people demanded for early restoration of Tagar road which was washed away in 2015 flash flood, completion of link roads and bridges. EC Wangyal assured to address all the demands in phased manner.
EC Wangyal also inspected PHC Sakti where he directed concerned HODs and Engineers to complete the remaining construction works of PHC.
