| Rotary Club Jammu organised Two Days Free Medical Camp | |
Jammu, December 24, (Scoop News)-Two days Free Medical Camp in collaboration with *Orthoshed, Meyer Organics Pvt. Ltd. and Rotary Club of Jammu* concluded at *JK Physiotherapy And Rehabilitation Clinic* where the underprivileged and general masses were screened, made awared and treated for various ailments.
*First time in Jammu and unique in its nature, camp was a complete health solution rehabilitation package which includes Orthosis and Prosthesis, Diabetic Foot Screening and Care, Neuropathy, Diet and Nutrition Awareness, Bone Mineral Density Test - Osteoporosis Awareness and Physiotherapy Treatment for Orthopaedic and Neurological Conditions.*
*Murli Mohan Singh*, an *Eminent and Senior P&O* from *Orthoshed* did Foot Screening of Diabetic and masses in general and made them aware of Foot Care and it's management which is preventive as well as therapeutic. *"If we take care of our Feet, we can not only prevent Foot Diseases or Ailments but can reduce the risk of other conditions in Knee Joints and Hip Joints", he said.*
*Dr. Gaurav Desai, Neuro Physical Therapist* from *Orthoshed* Dr. Sahiba Gupta Dietician, Dr Shaveta Sahrma MPT, Dr Kumar Sneh MPT and Dr. Nidhi Goel and Dr. Juhi Gupta Phisio Therapist examined the patients with Neuropathy in large and other neurological conditions too. He emphasized on Manual Exercises and treatments for Neuropathy. *Overwhelmed with the response from the public of Jammu, he wished to be a part of more such awareness camps and told that whenever needed, he will be in City of Temples.* Dr. Desai has vast experience in the field and has worked in US too for good number of years. Formerly, he was the head in Fortis Hospital, Gurugram.
*Dr. Sahiba Gupta*, practicing *Dietitian and Nutritionist* remained main centre of attraction in the camp as people are more cautious about weight management now a days and always look forward for diet charts. This is the mantra for weight management.", she said.*
*Dr. Shveta Sharma MPT (Ortho)*, examined the patients with various orthopaedic ailments *Dr. Kumar Sneh MPT (Ortho)* played a pivotal role for the successful management of the camp. *Dr. Nidhi Goel Physical Therapist* treated the patients and made them awared that Physiotherapy not only treats Orthopaedic or Neurological conditions but has important and necessary role in other fields of medical sciences like Surgery, *Dr. Juhi Gupta, Physical Therapist* by profession played a *Media Person* role and highlighted the whole show. To keep the maxim *'Service Above Self'* high, Rotarians from *Rotary Club of Jammu* moved the underprivileged people to the camp for screening and treatments available. *Free medicines ( Dietery Supplements ) were distributed by Meyer Organics Pvt. Ltd. and Chlorophyll Pharma to the needy people. "To serve the mankind is our motto. Disease Prevention and Treatment is one of the avenue of Rotary International. We will not leave any stone unturned for the benefit of underprivileged masses and will make assure that they get the treatments at par with others.", said Rtn. *Under CSR ( corporate social responsibility ) and in legacy of social work, JK Physiotherapy And Rehabilitation Clinic, Orthoshed and Rotary Club of Jammu have collectively taken a case of Bilateral Above Knee Amputation ( name not disclosed ) from Bishnah. Functional Prosthesis will be fitted to the patient for which initial assessments were made in this camp. He is the sole earner of his family and is on bed for the last one and a half year.*
*"Gift Of Sight is already a permanent project of Rotary Club Of Jammu. Under this, we conduct Eye Camps in the rural areas. We have already helped six people from Jammu Province to get their Cornea Transplant done and by the grace of Almighty, they are able to see this world. We do take part in 'Gift Of Life' project under which 0 - 18 years of children are operated for Cardiac Surgeries ( ASD and VSD ) free of cost at Fortis Escorts and National Heart Institute, New Delhi. Artificial Limbs is a new trial and if all go well, this will be another Flagship Project of Rotary Club of Jammu for the underprivileged ones.", said Rtn. Dr. Gaurav Vaid.*
