Kohli convenes public grievances redress camps at Bodhal, Gundi
Asks for formulation of DPRs envisaging basic amenities to uncovered areas

Rajouri, November 12, (Scoop News)- Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Gani Kohli today convened public grievances redress camps in Bodhal and Gundi villages in Kalakote constituency and took stock of people’s issues there.
During the camp, which was attended by a large number of people of these villages and adjoining areas, projected several issues related to development of their respective areas besides lack of proper basic amenities.
The Minister assured the people that all issues projected by them would be given due consideration for an early redressal. He issued on the spot directions to the district administration to look into all these matters and initiate necessary action for resolving the same.
The Minister asked the administration to further gear up their field functionaries and ensure that all the development programmes being executed in these areas are effectively monitored for quality and timely completion. He made a special mention of ongoing developmental works in Kalakot constituency asking the officers to accelerate the pace of progress on these works for timely completion. He also asked them to ensure judicious utilization of earmarked funds so that the purpose behind launching development schemes is not marred.
Expressing concern over lack of proper basic services in the constituency, the Minister asked the officers for a fresh survey of such areas and habitations so that the actual requirements are identified and thus provided to the people. In this regard, he asked for preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for new projects for submission to the concerned authorities.
The Minister said that the Government is committed to provide enhanced facilities of road connectivity, health, education, power and adequate drinking water to all the areas of the State especially far flung and remote areas. He said without connectivity the development is not possible adding that the instructions have already been given to the concerned to frame DPRs of those areas and habitations who have not been covered under road connectivity so far.
Senior Officers of district administration and prominent citizens of the area were present on the occasion.
