CC for 800 MW Bursar HEP conducts Public Hearing at Marwah

Kishtwar, September 21, (Scoop News)-Environmental Clearance Committee for 800 MW Bursar Hydroelectric Project(HEP) Bursar today conducted Public Hearing here at village Changer, Marwah.
District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana chaired the public hearing attended by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Marwah Sanjeev Goswami, General Manager NHPC Dul-Hasti Kishtwar P K Langar, General Manager NHPC Faridabad, Syed Ali Khan, District Pollution Officer, Rathore, Scientific Officer PC Board Yash Pal.
A large number of people from village Hanzal, Dherna, Teller, Changer, Nowpachi, Qaderna and Yourdoo raised their demands with regard to construction of Burser Project in the area.
They demanded that the NHPC should take care of the up-lift of the areas and create facilities like Hospital, School, and Electricity for the residents of the areas likely to be affected by the project.
The people of the Hanzal and Dehrna village demanded that the height of the dam should be reduced from 2134 meters so that they may not be dislocated. The committee heard the demands putforth by the public patiently and assured to project the same with the higher authorities for proper redress.
The DC asked the NHPC authorities to initiate the process for imparting skill development trainings to the local youths so that at the time of execution of the project the local youth may get the jobs.
The District Development Commissioner also convened a meeting of the officers and stressed for speedy disposal of the services brought under the ambit of the Public Service Guarantee Act. He also asked the officers to work with dedication and get the development works completed before the onset of the winter. He called upon the supervisory officers to effectively monitor the developmental works to maintain quality standards.
The District Development Commissioner asked the employees to maintain punctuality in their offices and warned of strict action against those found lacking.
